About Us

Loving!

'And you shall love the Lord your God

with all your heart and with all your soul and

with all your mind and with all your strength.'

The second is this:

'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

There is no other commandment greater than these.

Mark 12:30-31

Statements of Faith

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the final authority in our life, and we believe it to be the absolute truth to live by.

We believe there is one Godhead, existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Second Person of the Trinity, and the union of God and man – fully God and fully man; conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived sinless, died, and was resurrected from the dead by God’s power. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, which resulted in spiritual death. Our only hope of redemption is through faith in Jesus’ death on the cross, burial and resurrection. By God’s grace and mercy, He offers us the free gift of salvation through Jesus only, not as a result of any good works that we may do.

We believe following one’s salvation, God commands Water Baptism and asks the believer to observe the Lord’s Supper through Communion. We do not recognize these as a means of salvation.

We believe the Holy Spirit is our Guide, Comforter, Teacher, Helper and empowerment in the Gifts of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps one to understand God’s Word and helps in our discernment when making decisions on a daily basis.

We believe in the physical and visual second coming of Jesus. He will come to earth to establish His physical Kingdom. This will come at a time that is not revealed through Scripture.

We believe that our eternal destination will be either heaven or hell, determined by whether we accept or reject Jesus Christ.

We believe God created male and female and ordained marriage to be between one man and one woman.

Core Values

We value God’s Word as our ultimate source for successful living while reflecting Jesus to others.

We value people and therefore we look to Love, Serve and Invest in others.

We value global outreach through missions and devote time, finances, and prayer towards it.

We value prayer, both individually and corporately, as vital, effective, and real communication with God.

We value regular church attendance to stir one another to love and good works.

We value tithes and offerings supporting our local church.

We value daily personal time spent in God's Word.

We value reaching out to our local community in practical and helpful ways that point them to Jesus and God’s Word.

We value individuals as male and female and marriage being between one man and one woman.

Our History

BFC began in the late 1970s, when Allen Skrede purchased what became the Abundant Life Bookstore. God began to call him to “provide a place where people could hear the uncompromised Word of God,” holding meetings in his home. Through word of mouth, the ministry grew. In 1981, the church was officially formed and Allen was ordained a year later.

BFC has grown from a group of 20 to over 100 members. People have received many miracles from the Lord, including healing, deliverance from demonic activity, freedom from fears, and salvation.

Pastor Allen dearly loved his wife, Mary, and three sons: Craig, Trever, and Paul. Craig is now the Senior Pastor of BFC. Trever is the Senior Pastor of Grace Church, Ontario, WI. Paul serves as Worship Minister and Youth Pastor at BFC. Pastor Allen faithfully served on the Advisory Board as the Founding Father of Believers Fellowship Church, Inc. until his passing in 2021.
